Some Thoughts About Spanking:
There's been a lot of articles lately about spanking children, some in favor of
and others opposed to spanking. It's occurred to me that any position (specifically my
position) against spanking empowers (further entrenches) those who still justify it as a
tool for getting children to behave. That is to say, a position against spanking,
especially a self righteous one, flailed against spankers, itself is lacking compassion
and is abusive. Does it not invalidate, strike out at, make wrong, abuse and hurt the
spanker?
A position automatically brings forth (creates) an equal and opposite position
and shuts down (true) communication.
