About Gabby's Tips

Post by Gabby » Tue Jun 20, 2006 4:08 pm

Dear Gabby primarily serves as reference material for participants of our free tutorials.

It's understood that one can't get to the all-knowing self using the mind; the purpose of the mind is survival, not happiness or love. Your mind will protect its beliefs and understandings by arguing, dismissing, or avoiding conversations that threaten its survival, even a truth. Gabby's Tips are cookies for a mind intent on mastering interpersonal and intrapersonal communication.

Werner Erhard, circa '70s, est (Erhard Seminars Training) would have "Trainees" agree to stay in the room (a total of 60 hours over two weekends) through to completion. Participants would get upset, angry, confused, and frustrated, however, the "agreement" forced participants to listen to, to be with, truths that parents, teachers, and clergy had failed to communicate; they had to be-with (experience) the thoughts and beliefs that weren't working for them and others.

To search for a topic enter one word, quotes not necessary.

You'll notice that over a period of 15+ years very few readers have posted questions: This is due in part because someone will Google a specific problem and after reading one or two of Gabby's tips or replies, they intuit Gabby's reply. Reading one of our replies usually reminds a reader that most likely they have been describing their problem irresponsibly, from blame (when the truth is told responsibly [from cause] the problem disappears).

From time to time the tutorial coach will refer a tutorial participant to a Gabby letter for an example. In many instances, reading another's post may preclude the necessity of creating/recreating/dramatizing a specific problem. That is to say, one can create, have, and complete a problem (in their mind) as they read about a topic.

If, as you read a letter, you realize that it pertains to you as well, then share your realization verbally with another, or with Gabby; it will facilitate you in being complete.

At the bottom of each letter, you may post replies/comments about any letter/reply (free—alias name Ok, no registration or email required).

For questions: Please do The [free] Clearing Process first—this will reduce the possibility that your problem has something to do with your integrity (we pay ourselves back for our unacknowledged perpetrations, especially the ones we have conveniently "forgotten").

Originally we indexed the letters to reflect the ones viewed most frequently, however, it became too time-consuming to maintain it accurately, therefore the letters have been moved to Dear Gabby.

Reminder:

Gabby's replies are for the letter-writer or someone with a similar problem. If you don't have the same problem your mind might find fault with Gabby's reply.

With aloha,

Gabby
