Hi stevie6:n n Thank you for the acknowledgment.n n Your use of the word "blessed" didn't feel good. It concerns me. I find that some people unconsciously use religious terms as a covert way of making others wrong. n n As long as you're not attached to the word and can see how it might not feel good to another to read/hear, without prior agreement/permission, then I'm complete with it.n n On the other hand, if my feedback upsets you and you feel a need to explain or justify (argue) your use of the word, then I'm right-on and you do use your religiousness abusively. Abuse here meaning using words that offend or don't feel good to another. Much like "God Bless America" offends many Europeans, Muslims and non Americans. Be that as it may, unconscious abuse is still abuse.n n Also, using a seemingly innocuous word such as you did is sometimes used for screening during the job application process, or even on a date, to see if it gets a similar Christian worded reply. Ultimately it comes from make-wrong because it sorts people into different us/them piles.n n No need for a long reply. "Thanks Kerry, I got it" will be fine.n n Kerry

Update:n n Within in minutes of posting his "...blessed..." post, Stevie6 registered for our Spouse Abuse Tutorial. I replied with an e-mail asking him to first read my reply to his post before we sent him the passwords to the tutorial. n n As of 10/22/02 Stevie6 has not replied to the above reply. n n Due to some other inappropriate communications from Stevie6 we have banned him from further participation. This was the first time in six years we have banned anyone.n n Kerryn Moderator
