About the Tutorial (pg. 2 of 18)

We begin with a definition of the word abuse

Google the words "abuse definition" and presently (11/19/22) you'll get more than 1,540,000,000 results. What's interesting is that no two of the websites that address the topic of abuse have the same definition of the word abuse. I.e. Some therapists advocate spanking (hitting) a child, others don't; few parents acknowledge to their child each and every abusive communication (raised voice and angry yelling becomes the norm).

More interestingly, no two teachers in any school, or any two judges in the world, have the same definition of the word abuse. Neither therapists nor courts acknowledge Newton's Law: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." A skillfully delivered stink-eye hurts. "Victims" of abuse are addicted to blaming, they seldom seek coaching so as to find out how they intended (caused) the abuse.

All effort and money spent on preventing, eliminating, reducing, or controlling abuse is to no avail until we agree on its definition. —Kerry

Abuse
It is highly unlikely that anyone you relate with agrees with your definition of the word abuse; all divorced couples had different definitions.
